Aula da Stampin Up com visitas de Portland, OR. Estamos chic nao???

Oi pessoal,
Essa semana eu tive visitas de fora do estado. Uma demonstradora da SU estava visitando parentes aqui na Califa e me ligou para vir fazer aula comigo!!! Achei o maximo, claro.
Desenvolvi uma aula que fosse multi-nivel por que uma das participantes nunca havia carimbado na vida dela, entao nao dava pra assustar a iniciante, ne?

March class @the Vista Library

It is close!!! The March Class at the Vista Library is this Saturday!!!

The project we will make is a  note pad. I demo this project during our January Class and everybody felt in love with it. This project was also the Thank You gift I sent my customers on January.

Minha placa de DT

Eu ja havia comentado aqui numa outra postagem que eu havia sido convidada para participar de um grupo de Design Team. Tem uma loja de artesanato aqui na minha cidade que eh bem legal e eh aonde eu dou aulas as vezes. A dona da loja eh uma amor de pessoa. Como esse eh um grupo novo, ela nos pediu para eu fazer uma placa de apresentacao. Aqui esta o resultado da minha placa:



I had mentioned in another post that I was invited to be part of the DT for a local craft store. Because this is a new group, Gayle (the store owner) asked as to come up with an introduction plaque. Here is the result of mine:

Uma Visao Geral do Memo Board

Oi Pessoal,

Eu tenho trabalhado nesse projeto por umas 3 semanas, mas finalmente terminei. Eh um Memo Board, um quadro de aviso super-chique. O motivo sao Borboletas (meu tema favorito). Eu usei uma tela nova do Tim Holtz (eu posso enviar essas telas para voces a pedidos, querendo eh so me contactar) alem das caixinhas, alguns die cuts da Stampin' Up!, alguns carimbos de bosboletas, tambem da Stampin' Up!, carimbeiras braca e preta da StazOn, um liquido resistente muito legal chamado GooseBump, da Tsukineko

Papeis da Stampin' Up! e BoBanny, alem de flores, bailarinas e outros acessorios da Stampin' Up!

Eh claro que esse Memo Board tem um toque reciclado: eu usei a protecao de CD como a parte de escrever do Memo, alem do que as duas molduras, que sao latas de refrigerante (uma pintada com tinta a base de alcool e a outra lisa) foram cortadas na minha Big Shot .

February class @the Vista Library

Greeting,
We will have our monthly paper craft at the Vista Library on February 11th from 1:30-4:30 pm.
As usual, you need to register in advance to participate. This is one of my volunteers activities and there is no cost associated to this class.

Yesterday I had my class at the Vista Library. I had prepared 12 kits, however I had only 8 confirmation, so if you want I will have 4 kits available for sale.

Paper Craft-4-All: Stetionary Set Class - October 23 from 11 am - 1 pm @Ever After Scrapbooks

Do you remember this post that I wrote in May? Caixa-em-papel-com-6-cartoes. I received so many complements from this project that I decided to make a class with this adorable, and why not say, more-than-perfect gift for the holidays.

And it is only a perfect gift for the holidays, you can use the same idea to any occasion: Birthday, Thank you, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Teacher Appreciation Week, Bridal Shower, Baby Shower, Friendship, etc. Just change the paper pattern, stamp motive and embellishment and there you have it a perfect gift, and it is easy, yet elegant.

Go Green Crafting - New class series @Ever After Scrapbooks - Wednesday, Sep. 14th and 28th

Hello PessoALL,
Guess what? After just a few meetings Camille, Ever After's owner, figure out that she wanted ME to launch a re-purposing material class. She came up with the name: Go Green Crafting and I am coming up with the know-how of using found materials and my creativity to turn ordinary materials in extraordinary paper craft.

Since this is my "debut" as a official Ever After teacher (during the Summer I thought a kids camp at Ever After) we are offering a special registration condition. If you sign in for one class, you will pay only $20 (regular price $35), but if you sign in for two classes, instead of paying $40 for both, you will pay only $35. Who doesn't like to save some extra cash? More to spend buying all sort of wonderful scrapbook supply. Everyday we receive new items and with the holidays right at our doors, our Go Green Crafting class will be perfect for you to sprue your creativity, learn new techniques and perhaps have some unique gifts done in time for Halloween, Thanks Giving and Christmas.

We will use aluminum cans to create a vase, pencil and candle holders.  You will learn how to transform old and scratched CDs into beautiful photo displays. Juice boxes will become tote bags and the possibilities are endless.

Call Ever After  (760-630-2767) to register. The Go Green Crafting classes will happen every other  Wednesday from 6-8 pm and our first meeting will be on September 14th.

Meet the New Instructor and Cards 4 the Troops

Greetings after a dark (yet fun) night.
Yes, we survived after 9 long hours with no electricity. Well, since I came from the Amazon, I wasn't so stressed being without power. I remember when my family and I spent the whole summer vocation in our beach house and sometimes without any electricity, no big deal. More fun time for us, kids, playing with our hands making shadows on the wall or just playing cards around the candle, and it was with that spirit in mind that we spent our evening. Luckily, I didn't need to cook because I had made "caldo verde" or green broth as a literal translation, a yummy Portuguese-soup, the night before and had saved the left over in the freezer. Dinner was saved just heating it up and enjoying the night.

But the reason for this post it is not the power failure we lived yesterday. I would like to invite you all to join me this coming Sunday, yes, 9/11 to make free cards to send to our troops abroad.
Since I am the new team member for Ever After Scrapbooks and just launched some new paper craft classes there, Camille and I thought it would be an excellent idea to have a "meet the new instructor"/community service event.
Ever After is donating some supplies and I will bring stamps, ink pads, punches and so on, so we can make thoughtful cards to send to our soldiers in remembrance of 9/11 attack 10 years ago.
Our cards 4 the troops event will happen from 11 am to 1 pm, just this Sunday. This is a family event, therefore husbands or boyfriends and children are welcome to participate.
